Google CEO warns of anemic economy

PARADISE VALLEY, Arizona | Tue Sep 14, 2010 4:31pm EDT

PARADISE VALLEY, Arizona (Reuters) - Google Inc (GOOG.O) Chief Executive Eric Schmidt expects slow economic growth for years, amid signs that a budding technology sector spending recovery has turned out to be weaker than expected.

But a so-called double-dip recession was unlikely, Schmidt told Reuters in an interview on the sidelines of a Google conference in Arizona's Paradise Valley, near Phoenix.
