Oct 8 (Reuters) - Japan's Honda Motor Co (7267.T) has decided to increase annual production of its new 125 cc PCX motorcycle model by 30 percent to 60,000-70,000 units, the Nikkei business daily reported.

Sales of the model have been better than expected in Japan, Europe, the United States, Vietnam and other markets, the paper said.

To boost PCX production without affecting the output of other products, Honda will extend its hours of overtime operations at its Bangkok unit - Thai Honda Manufacturing Co, the business daily reported.

Honda eventually plans to introduce more than 10 different motorcycle models, which can be sold in different markets worldwide, according to the Nikkei.
