- JAMSOSTEK INVESTS 500 BLN RPH IN BNI SHARES
Indonesia's largest pension fund PT Jamsostek said it
invested 500 billion rupiah ($56.05 million) to buy PT Bank
Negara Indonesia (BNI) (BBNI.JK) shares in its rights issue,
said Hotbonar Sinaga, Jamsostek's president director. (Bisnis

- IDX APPROVES BANK SINARMAS IPO
The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) gave pre-listing approval on Wednesday for PT Bank Sinarmas, a financial unit owned by Sinar Mas Group, to sell a 40 percent stake worth 370 billion rupiah ($41.48 million) during an initial public offering (IPO), said Eddy Sugito, a director at the bourse. - PERTAMINA HULU ENERGI TO ACQUIRE 46 PCT SHARES OF MEDCO
PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, a unit of state owned oil and gas
company Pertamina, will acquire 46.41 percent shares of PT
Medco Energi Internasional (MEDC.JK), Bisnis Indonesia quoted a
source as saying. It said that the State Enterprises Minister
Mustafa Abubakar supported the plan. (Bisnis Indonesia)
- BNI SEES GROWTH IN TRADE FINANCE
Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) (BBNI.JK) sees growth in trade
finance and forecast revenues from it to reach 256.6 billion
rupiah ($28.76 million) by the end of 2010, said Bob Ananta,
the bank's general manager for its international division.

- ATPK RESOURCES TO SELL ITS UNITS FOR FRESH CASH
PT ATPK Resources (ATPK.JK) plans to sell its coal and
nickel units to raise 715 million rupiah ($80,150) to finance
operational expenses, said Andreas Andy Santoso, the company's
corporate secretary. The company will also sell a 10 percent
stake through a rights issue, expected to raise up to 17
billion rupiah to pay its debt. (Kontan)
- MOTORCYCLE SALES IN SEPT FALL
Domestic motorcycle sales in September fell 34 percent to 479,552 units compare to 732,132 units in August 2010, said Sigit Kumala, senior general manager sales of PT Astra Honda Motor. (Investor Daily)

* Asian stocks are set for a cautious start on Thursday after Wall Street ended mixed on a poor reading on private-sector employment and speculation about further quantitative easing from the Federal Reserve. [STOCKS-NEWS-ASIA]
* Indonesia's stock index .JKSE rose 0.33 percent on Wednesday, after hitting a fresh record intraday high on strong inflows to the region. Bank Artha Graha (INPC.JK) led gains, up 34.78 percent, and Indoexchange (INDX.JK) led losses, down 31.33 percent. Harum Energy (HRUM.JK) led market turnover on its debut, ending 4.8 percent up from its IPO price, and Bakrieland Development (ELTY.JK) led volume, rising 1.82 percent.

* Tech shares slumped on Wednesday, hit by worries about demand for semiconductors and data storage. [.N]
* Crude oil ended higher for the fifth day in six on Wednesday as a larger-than-expected drawdown in U.S. gasoline stockpiles and a sinking dollar prompted investors to bid up energy futures. [O/R]
* Palm oil prices hit a near one-week high on Wednesday on expectations of a new round of central bank action to ginger up weakening economies although a record U.S. soy crop dragged on sentiment. [POI/]
