Davies caught at 201 kph one year after crash-report
PARIS |
PARIS (Reuters) - United States soccer international Charlie Davies has had his driving license confiscated after he was caught driving at 201 kph in eastern France almost exactly one year after being involved in a fatal car crash, local newspaper Le Progres reported on Friday.
The 24-year-old, who plays at French club Sochaux, was caught exceeding the speed limit last Saturday, Le Progres reported on their website (www.leprogres.fr).
Davies sustained internal injuries and multiple leg fractures in a car crash, which killed another passenger, in the United States last October.
His injuries ruled him out of this year's World Cup in South Africa, where the United States were knocked out by Ghana in the second round.
