UPDATE 1-Administaff Q3 profit beats Wall Street

Nov 1 (Reuters) - Human resources services provider Administaff Inc ASF.N posted a quarterly profit that beat market estimates by a cent, mainly driven by higher revenue per worksite employee per month.

Administaff, which provides services like payroll and employee insurance, said revenue per worksite employee per month rose about 5 percent.

Administaff reported July-September net income of $7.2 million, or 28 cents a share, compared with $5.8 million, or 23 cents a share, a year ago.

Revenue rose 6 percent to $414.1 million.

Analysts on average were expecting earnings of 27 cents a share on revenue of $417.9 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Shares of the Houston-based company closed at $26.21 Friday on the New York Stock Exchange. They have remained almost flat since reporting the company reported second-quarter results. (Reporting by Megha Mandavia in Bangalore; Editing by Unnikrishnan Nair)
