PARIS Nov 10 (Reuters) - Financial bookmakers expected to see the main European indexes falling on Wednesday, retreating from 2-year highs hit in the previous session and tracking losses in metal prices, hurt by soft Chinese import data. Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE to open 23 to 28 points lower, or as much as 0.5 percent, Germany's DAX .GDAXI to open 15 to 30 points lower, or as much as 0.4 percent, and France's CAC-40 .FCHI to open 31 to 36 points lower, or as much as 0.9 percent.

The FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares hit their highest level in more than two years on Tuesday, extending a brisk 2-1/2 month rally that was sparked by expectations of additional monetary stimulus from the U.S. Federal Reserve. (Reporting by Blaise Robinson)
