Norway's wealth fund rises to $507 bln in Oct

OSLO Nov 12 (Reuters) - The value of Norway's sovereign wealth fund rose 4.1 percent in October to a preliminary 3.025 trillion Norwegian crowns ($506.8 billion) from 2.906 trillion at the end of September, central bank data showed on Friday.

Commonly known as the "oil fund", the Government Pension Fund -- Global invests Norway's oil and gas wealth in foreign stocks and bonds to save for future generations.
