TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara said on Wednesday that resuming six-party talks to denuclearize North Korea is difficult after the reclusive country shelled a South Korean island.

North Korea fired dozens of artillery shells at the island on Tuesday, setting dozens of houses ablaze in the heaviest attack in the region since the Korean War ended in 1953. South Korea said four people were killed in the attack.
