BRIEF-Moody's cuts Maryland Health & Higher Educational Fac Auth bonds

Dec 2 (Reuters) - Maryland Health & Higher Educational Facilities Authority revenue bonds:

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded to A1 from Aa3 and affirmed the VMIG 1 rating assigned to Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority Revenue Bonds, Adventist HealthCare Issue, Series 2005A (the Bonds) in conjunction with the substitution of the current letter of credit supporting the Bonds provided by Bank of America, N.A. with a new irrevocable direct-pay letter of credit (LOC) provided Union Bank, N.A.(the Bank).
