Chiyoda to Expand Its Regional Operation Award of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Contract for Shell Pulau Bukom Manufacturing Site in Singapore and Shell Port Dickson Manufacturing Site in Malaysia

Chiyoda Corporation (TOKYO:6366 ISIN:JP3528600004) and its group companies expand the regional operation in South East Asian region, the execution for Shell projects in Singapore and Malaysia as the core of its activities.

Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Limited, a group company of Chiyoda Corporation (TOKYO:6366 ISIN:JP3528600004) signed a new contract with Shell Eastern Petroleum Limited in Singapore for Engineering, Procurement and Construction management (EPCm) for a project in its Pulau Bukom manufacturing site in Singapore. The work will be executed by Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Limited as the prime contractor, with the collaboration of Chiyoda Corporation and engineering satellites in the region as well as execution of the Basic Design and Engineering Package for this project which was completed in mid of this year by Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Limited. Chiyoda group is aiming to deliver its know-how and apply abundant project experience in Shell, refineries and Bukom.

In addition to Singapore, the sister company of Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Limited, Chiyoda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., will also execute a project for Shell Refining Company (Federation of Malaysia) Berhad at its Port Dickson manufacturing site as its main Engineering, Procurement and Construction management (EPCm) contractor.

Chiyoda is urging to strengthen Chiyoda Singapore (Pte) Limited as the regional headquarters in South East Asia which is one of the main parts of new mid term management plan for the duration of April 2009 to March 2013 of Chiyoda group.
