NZ consumer confidence falls in Q4 - survey

WELLINGTON | Wed Dec 15, 2010 4:03pm EST

WELLINGTON Dec 16 (Reuters) - New Zealand consumer confidence fell in the fourth quarter as people showed less optimism about the economic outlook, a survey showed on Friday.

The Westpac-McDermott Miller consumer confidence index fell to 108.3 from 114.1 in the previous three months.

A reading above 100 indicates more optimists than pessimists. (Reporting by Gyles Beckford)
