Seoul shares end at fresh 37-month high on banks

SEOUL Dec 17 (Reuters) - Seoul shares rose slightly to hit a new 37-month closing high on Friday led by banking issues such as Shinhan Financial Group (055550.KS), with positive U.S. data boosting sentiment further.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 (KOSPI) finished up 0.85 percent at 2,026.30 points. (Reporting by Jungyoun Park; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
