NEW YORK Dec 20 (Reuters) - ITT Corp (ITT.N) has won a NASA contract worth up to $1.26 billion to supply communications and tracking systems for orbiting spacecraft, including the International Space Station, the conglomerate said on Monday.

The contract, for five years and three months, has two one-year option periods. It covers networks that provide most of the communications and tracking services for spacecraft that also include the space shuttle and the Hubble Space Telescope.

The choice of ITT renews an award originally given to ITT in October 2008, but contract work was delayed by objections from rival contractor Honeywell International Inc (HON.N).

ITT's partners include Boeing (BA.N) and Orbital Sciences (ORB.N). (Reporting by Nick Zieminski; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)
