UN council to I.Coast: Don't attack peacekeepers

UNITED NATIONS Dec 20 (Reuters) - The U.N. Security Council warned Ivory Coast's incumbent President Laurent Gbagbo on Monday that anyone responsible for attacks on civilians or peacekeepers could be hauled before an international tribunal.

"Members of the Security council warn all stakeholders that they will be held accountable for all attacks against civilians and peacekeepers," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, president of the council this month, told reporters.
