Art Directors Club of Denver Accepting Call for Entries for Paper Fashion Show

7th Annual Paper Fashion Show Highlights Denver’s Most Creative Talent

It’s that time of year again when the who’s who of Denver’s most creative set flaunt their artistic creations on the paper fashion show runway. The Art Directors Club of Denver (ADCD) is accepting call for entries for its 7th Annual Paper Fashion Show. Designers, art directors, marketing, advertising and communication professionals, and fashion enthusiasts are asked to register by February 18, 2011.

“The ADCD Paper Fashion Show is like an event at the 'Art Olympics.' It is the best place in Denver to showcase wildly creative work within very specific perimeters,” said Lonnie Hanzon, wizard in residence at the Museum of Outdoor Arts and the 2010 ADCD Paper Fashion Show First Place Winner. “There is some fierce talent in this town, and you’ll see some of the best of Denver on the runway.”

The cost to enter is $50 per team or $30 for student teams. The fashions will be showcased at the grand runway show on March 24, 2011 at City Hall Amphitheatre at 6 p.m. To register your team, visit Tickets may also be purchased at the website.

“The ADCD Paper Fashion Show continues to surprise its audience each year as individuals and teams create the most unbelievable fashions out of paper,” said Tanner Bennett, event co-chair. “With a generous paper donation from our signature paper sponsor Xpedx, designers are given the tools they need to express their imagination and outfit their runway model.”

In addition to benefiting the Art Directors Club of Denver, proceeds from the Paper Fashion Show also support the Downtown Aurora Visual Arts (DAVA), a local community organization that provides after-school programs for at-risk youth. With last year’s attendance of more than 600 people, $4,500 was donated to DAVA, and $500 was raised for ADCD scholarships, the ADCD is anticipating an equally impressive result for the 2011 show.

The initial sponsors for the show are Xpedx, D & K Printing, Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design and Philosophy Communication, Inc. To become a sponsor of the 7th Annual Paper Fashion show, contact Delana Reilly at For more information, visit
