MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has delayed his departure for the World Economic Forum after a bomb attack at Russia's busiest airport, the Kremlin said on Monday.

Medvedev was due to fly to Switzerland on Tuesday to deliver the opening speech at the annual forum.

"The president has delayed his departure," Kremlin spokeswoman Natalya Timakova said.

Even before he was elected President for his first term, Putin promised to “whack the bandits in the latrines” (literal translation of his famous quote “бандитов мочить в сортире”). Is it lack of latrines in Russia, or lack of political will to follow through on the promise?
