OAKLAND PARK, Fla., Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The launch of Oakland Park Main Street's first store front real estate company demonstrates the vision of founder Gary B. Lanham, President of Lanham & Associates Inc. dba Real Estate Recovery.  A resident of The Corals, Lanham chose to locate his new venture in the business-friendly environment promoted by Oakland Park Main Street, a nonprofit corporation.

Real Estate Recovery joins an ongoing revitalization in Oakland Park, bringing jobs and retail traffic to Main Street.  "I live in The Corals," notes Lanham. "I know the needs of buyers and sellers in the niche market areas we serve."

"Our mission statement includes a belief in a recovering real estate market," says Lanham. "Main Street and Real Estate Recovery share a common goal — to capitalize on economic upturn in 2011 and beyond."

Lanham's business plan includes hiring up to five sales associates in 2011. This is good news for the growth initiatives of Main Street.

"We are very pleased that Gary has located his company here," says Siegi Constantine, director of Oakland Park Main Street. "Real Estate Recovery promises to be a catalyst for growth in the downtown, and it will be our privilege to support this new Main Street business through promotion and events."

Lanham was a top producer with his previous employer, Atlantic Properties International, rising from Sales Associate to Broker Associate during the challenging market conditions of recent years. He holds the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) credentials from the National Association of Realtors® and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Broward County.

Lanham's plan to build a strong corporate structure includes an expectation that his sales associates will have or acquire professional credentialing. "We will foster an environment for continuing education that hones professional skills to best serve our niche market," says Lanham.

Combining a high profile retail office with a strong internet presence, Real Estate Recovery will offer state-of-the-art technology for its sales associates. "They will have all the tools they need to connect buyers and sellers, to guide their clients through the real estate transaction process, and to build successful careers for themselves and the company," says Lanham.

Agents representing Real Estate Recovery will also join Lanham in community involvement. He currently serves on the MLS Committee of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, is a member and past president of The Corals of Oakland Park Homeowners Association, and is a member of Oakland Park Main Street.  He is a regular contributor to local publications with articles of interest to homeowners.
