Morgan Stanley sells C$400 mln notes - term sheet

NEW YORK Jan 27 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley (MS.N) sold C$400 million ($404 million) of five-year senior notes on Thursday, according to a term sheet seen by Reuters.

The 4.85 percent notes, due Feb. 3, 2016, were priced at 99.943 to yield 4.863 percent, or 233.7 basis points over the Canadian government benchmark.

The investment dealer arms of Morgan Stanley, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Nova Scotia were the lead managers of the sale. ($1=C$0.99)
