Samsung Elec sees price rise in flat screens in Q1

SEOUL Jan 28 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co (005930.KS), the world's top memory chipmaker, expected on Friday that its average selling prices for flat-screen displays to improve slightly in the current quarter due to a better product mix.

But for the entire year, prices of liquid crystal display (LCD) used in television, computers and laptops, were expected to drop, a Samsung executive told analysts. (Reporting by Miyoung Kim; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
