LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Former "7th Heaven" star Geoff Stults will play "Walter Sherman" - aka "the Locator" - a former military policeman who can find anything, on U.S. network Fox's upcoming "Bones" spinoff, it was announced Friday.

He joins Michael Clarke Duncan, who was cast last week as Walter's partner, Leo, a tough cowboy philosopher.

The spinoff is based on "The Locator" series of two books written by Richard Greener.

Stultz has also starred on the series "Reunion," "October Road" and "Happy Town." He most recently appeared on the series "How I met Your Mother."

His feature film work includes "She's Out of My League," "The Break-Up" and "Wedding Crashers."
