Egypt said plans constitution referendum in 2 months

CAIRO Feb 14 (Reuters) - Egypt's ruling Higher Military Council plans to hold a referendum on constitutional amendments within two months, paving the way to democratic elections, members have told youth activists.

Wael Ghonim said on his Facebook page that he and seven other activists involved in protests that brought down Hosni Mubarak met two members of the council on Sunday evening.

Ghonim confirmed to Reuters the accuracy of the report he published on Facebook of the meeting.
