J&J recalls 70,000 Invega syringes

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Johnson & Johnson said it has recalled 70,000 syringes filled with the antipsychotic drug Invega because of cracks in the syringes.

A company spokesman said the issue, discovered during routine testing, has been resolved and production of the syringes has resumed at its Belgium manufacturing facility.

J&J has had to recall scores of products -- from over-the-counter drugs to contact lenses -- because of manufacturing problems.
