Indonesia motorcycle sales up 32.2 pct in Jan y/y

JAKARTA Feb 23 (Reuters) - Indonesia's domestic motorcycle sales, an indicator of consumer demand in Southeast Asia's biggest economy, rose 32.2 percent to 664,983 units in January compared to last year, industry data showed on Wednesday.

Domestic motorcycle sales volumes were led by Honda , Yamaha and Suzuki , according to data from Indonesia's Motorcycle Industry (AISI).

Total sales volume in 2010 was about 7.4 million units, with 513,343 units sold in December, the association said. (Reporting by Telly Nathalia; Editing by David Fox)
