C. Suisse appoints new head for 3 SE Asia markets

SINGAPORE, March 3 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse on Thursday named Francesco de Ferrari as market area head to oversee private banking in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

He will take up the newly created role in August to develop the Swiss bank's wealth management business in the three high growth markets and will report to Marcel Kreis, head of private banking for Asia Pacific.

De Ferrari, who is currently managing director and CEO of Credit Suisse private banking Italy, will be based in Singapore.

Credit Suisse, which survived the financial crisis better than its Swiss peer UBS , has 360 relationship managers and manages 78.5 billion Swiss Francs ($85 billion) worth of client assets in Asia Pacific. ($1 = 0.924 Swiss Francs) (Reporting by Eveline Danubrata; Editing by Saeed Azhar)
