Opening round of US budget talks set for Thursday

WASHINGTON, March 3 (Reuters) - The opening round of White House-led negotiations aimed at crafting a bipartisan deal to fund the U.S. government for the rest of this fiscal year will be held at 4 p.m. (2100 GMT) on Thursday on Capitol Hill, Republicans and Democratic aides said.

Vice President Joe Biden will chair the meeting, which will include House Speaker John Boehner, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, aides said.
