March 16 (Reuters) - Flames seen earlier at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi No.4 nuclear reactor are no longer visible, public broadcaster NHK reported on Wednesday.

The No.4 reactor, one of six nuclear reactors at the Daiichi complex, had been shut for regular maintenance before last week's powerful earthquake crippled the power plant. (Reporting by Shinichi Saoshiro; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
