MANAMA (Reuters) - Residents near Bahrain's Budaya Street said their suburbs were quiet and there was no sign that protesters had answered a call by the kingdom's youth movement for a mass demonstration in the area on Wednesday afternoon.

Three residents in different villages off Budaya Street in northern Manama said streets were deserted after the military announced a curfew in certain areas.
