Crédit Agricole CIB announces the final organisation of its management team as part of the implementation of its strategic plan, which is fully aligned with Crédit Agricole S.A. Group's strategic plan, "Commitment 2014", presented today.


On 9 March, as proposed by its chairman Jean-Paul Chifflet, Crédit Agricole CIB's Board of Directors approved the final organisation of its General Management team, centred around its Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Yves Hocher, and two Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Pierre Cambefort and Francis Canterini. Their activities are from today defined as below:


  • Pierre Cambefort (46 years), who since September 2010 has been responsible for coverage, investment banking, structured finance, corporate and the international network, will additionally assume responsibility for supervising the Equity Business, with effect from 1 April 2011.  


  • Francis Canterini (63 years), already in charge of support functions since December 2010, will additionally assume responsibility for supervising compliance, cash management and distressed asset management, also with effect from 1 April 2011. 


To complete this organisation, Jean-Yves Hocher, CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB, has made further appointments that will come into force on 1 April 2011:


  • Thomas Gadenne, previously CFO of Crédit Agricole CIB, is appointed Head of Fixed Income Markets. He will report directly to Jean-Yves Hocher. 


  • Paul de Leusse, Head of Group Strategy for Crédit Agricole S.A. since 2009, becomes CFO of Crédit Agricole CIB. He will report to Francis Canterini.  


  • Olivier Toussaint, CEO of Crédit Agricole Leasing from 2005, then CEO of Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring since 2009, is appointed Head of Coverage & Investment Banking. He will report to Pierre Cambefort.  




Paul de Leusse and Olivier Toussaint's replacements within Crédit Agricole S.A. and Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring will be announced in the near future.








Thomas Gadenne started his professional career in 1978 at Total where he held the position of Treasurer. He became Head of Treasury at Crédit du Nord in 1984, then at Lazard in 1986. He joined Crédit Lyonnais in 1988 as Head of Bond Trading, before taking over the same post at CNCA in 1995.

From 1997 to 2000, Thomas Gadenne was Head of Short-Term Trading at Crédit Agricole Indosuez and, from 2000, Treasurer for the Crédit Agricole group, where he was responsible for the treasuries of Crédit Agricole S.A. and Calyon.

Since 2007, Thomas Gadenne has been CFO of Calyon (subsequently Crédit Agricole CIB) and a member of the Executive Committee.

Born in 1956, Thomas Gadenne is a graduate of the ESSEC business school and holds a master's degree in law from the Faculté Catholique in Paris.


Olivier Toussaint started his career in 1984 in the Central Risk Department of Banque Indosuez in Paris. In 1986, he joined the International Department then became a senior banker at the Large Corporates Department in Paris from 1988 to 1992. He was subsequently appointed regional director of the Lille branch of Banque Indosuez, a post he held from 1992 till 1996. From 1997 to 1999, he was CEO of Crédit Agricole Indosuez Italy in Milan.

Olivier Toussaint joined Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole in 2000, where he was appointed Head of the Corporates Market. In 2005, he was appointed CEO of Crédit Agricole Leasing, then, after implementing the linkup with Eurofactor in 2009, CEO of Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring.

Born in 1958, Olivier Toussaint holds a master's degrees in economic science and banking & finance.




Paul de Leusse started his career in corporate advisory services, first as a consultant (1997-2004) then as associate director of Mercer Oliver Wyman (2004-2006). He subsequently joined Bain & Company as an associate partner.

He has been Director of Group Strategy and a member of the Crédit Agricole S.A. Executive Committee since 1 April 2009.

Born in 1972, Paul de Leusse is a graduate of École Polytechnique and a Civil Engineer of the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
