Boeing reports 10 commercial orders in latest week

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) said it took 10 new orders for commercial planes in the week that ended on Tuesday, including four 737s for El Al Israel Airlines (ELAL.TA), two 747s for Korean Air (003490.KS), and four 777s for an unidentified customer.

The company said in its weekly order update on its website on Thursday that it also lost one order for a narrowbody 737 from an unidentified customer. The Korean Air and the El Al orders had been previously disclosed.

Boeing, the world's second-largest commercial planemaker after Airbus (EAD.PA), also identified FedEx (FDX.N) as a previously unidentified customer with an order for four 777s.

Boeing said its net total commercial orders stand at 76 for 2011.

Shares of Boeing were down 9 cents at $72.63 on the New York Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Kyle Peterson, editing by Matthew Lewis)
