India's SBI to raise $1 bln through overseas notes in FY12: chairman

NEW DELHI, March 25 (Reuters) - State Bank of India , the country's largest lender, plans to raise at least $1 billion through overseas notes in the fiscal year starting April 1, its chairman said.
Deposit rates will remain stable and lending rates are unlikely to go up for the next few months, SBI Chairman O.P. Bhatt said. (Reporting by Anurag Kotoky and Sanjeev Chaudhary; editing by Tony Munroe)
