HILLSBORO, Ore., March 30, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FEI (Nasdaq:FEIC), a
diversified instruments company, today announced the Internet availability of
proxy materials for its 2011 Annual Meeting of Shareholders under the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission's Notice and Access rule. FEI's proxy
materials can now be found at http://investor.fei.com/annual_proxy_2011.cfm.
Adoption of the Notice and Access procedures helps FEI to reduce printing and
mailing costs and the impact of the Annual Meeting on the environment.
The Notice and Access rule provides an alternative to the traditional approach
of delivering a printed set of proxy materials to each shareholder. Companies
deliver a "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials" to shareholders,
provide Internet access to the proxy materials and provide a set of printed
materials by mail to any shareholder who requests them. FEI's shareholders may
obtain hard copies of proxy materials free of charge by following the
instructions provided in the "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy
Materials" which is being mailed to shareholders. FEI's annual meeting of
shareholders will be held at the company headquarters at 5350 N.E. Dawson Creek
Drive, Hillsboro, Oregon at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time on May 12, 2011.
