JERUSALEM, April 7 (Reuters) - A mortar shell fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Thursday hit a bus, wounding two people, one of them seriously, Israeli police said.

Spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said medics were treating the wounded at the scene. The head of the Magen David Adom ambulance service told Israel Radio that helicopters were ferrying the wounded to hospital. (Writing by Maayan Lubell; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
