UPDATE 1-Nike unit Hurley gets new CEO

NEW YORK, April 13 (Reuters) - Nike Inc (NKE.N) has named a former Levi Strauss [LEVST.UL] & Co executive to head its wholly owned Hurley International LLC unit, which makes surfing and skateboarding clothes.

The incoming executive, Jim Calhoun, had most recently overseen Levi's Dockers brand, which that company has been trying to revitalize, since 2008. Levi Strauss said on Tuesday that it had to cut prices on Dockers khaki pants over the holiday quarter to spur sales. [ID:nN11114952]

Calhoun's ties to Nike predate his stint at Levi Strauss. Several years ago, he worked with Nike to develop its basketball business before leaving to take a job at Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) .
