Obama: clean energy cuts no fix for high gas prices

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Tuesday said investment in clean energy is the only long-term solution to taming high gas prices.

Obama, speaking to students in Virginia, said investments in cleaner forms of energy are the key to reducing America's reliance on foreign oil.

How stupid does this bunch think we are? Wait don’t answer…How in the name of Pete’s Dragon does electricity generation and unleaded gas, foriegn oil, or anything you wish to call it have anything to do with one another? Faux energy blowing in the wind will not reduce pump or dependency. Want to do that? Build a new combustion engine. But live by an old engineers adage: it aint an alternative unless it is an alternative. Wind generators can’t replace coal, 20% capacity factor to 90% capacity factor. Not even close.
