LONDON, April 21 (Reuters) - The dollar hit an all-time low against the Swiss franc on Thursday, dragged down as the U.S. currency struggled across the board.

The dollar fell 0.4 percent on the day to 0.8846 francs, traders said, citing electronic trading platform EBS.

Losses in the U.S. currency were broad based, dragging the dollar index down to 73.873 .DXY, its weakest since August 2008.
