Nintendo to release successor to Wii next year

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's Nintendo Co Ltd said it would release a successor to its Wii video game console in 2012, and will release the new Wii specifications at the Los Angeles game show this June.
Nintendo on Monday posted its second straight fall in annual profit as sales of the aging Wii games console slowed and the March 11 earthquake weighed on Japanese consumer spending.
