Israel an impediment to Palestinian unity: Hamas

CAIRO (Reuters) - Hamas said on Wednesday that Israel has never been interested in Palestinian reconciliation, after the Islamist group signed a deal with rival secular Fatah movement to set up an interim unity government.
"Israel is not concerned with Palestinian reconciliation and has been an impediment to it in the past," Hamas spokesman Taher al-Noono told journalists in Cairo.
