PARIS May 15 (Reuters) - French government spokesman Francois Baroin said on Sunday it was important to remain cautious and reserve judgment over the arrest of IMF chief and possible presidential contender Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

"We have to be extremely prudent in analysis, comments and consequences," Baroin told France 2 television, adding that the government's position was to respect the presumption of innocence. (Reporting by John Irish; Editing by Catherine Bremer)
