PARIS May 15 (Reuters) - The New York chambermaid who has alleged that IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted her had worked at the hotel for three years and met its standards, the property's manager said on Sunday.

"We would like to point out that our employee worked at the Sofitel New York for three years and was completely satisfactory in terms of her work and behaviour," manager Jorge Tito said in a statement sent from Accor's (ACCP.PA) Paris office.

The International Monetary Fund managing director was charged on Sunday with sexually assaulting the maid, in a scandal that could spell the end of his career at the Fund and wreck his hopes of running for president of France. His lawyer says he denies the accusations.

Tito said he could not give any more details due to the legal proceedings. (Reporting by John Irish; Editing by Catherine Bremer)

And what if she had been an “unsatisfactory” employee — does that permit the elite to rape her? The implications behind your report are disgusting — you fit right into every stereotype of a “liberal media” in the service of an elite that is totally out of touch with reality. This woman’s professional conduct is not the story — the IMF president’s alleged sexual assault against her. Keep your eyes on the real story and quit trying to create diversions — in other words, do a satisfactory job as a supposed professional journalist.

KGLNYC, the journalist did not suggest it’s permissible to rape an unsatisfactory employee. Implicit is the significance of the maid’s credibility to this case. Had the maid’s work performance been of poor quality then the defense could have disputed her credibility and made a conviction less likely for the prosecutor. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

Strauss-Kahn did not do the alleged rape. This is nothing more than an attempt to discredit him by the United States to keep the Socialist party from coming to power in France, and an attempt to give Sarkozy a much-needed boost in the polls. Once the investigation is complete, it will be discovered there is no evidence supporting the allegation, but by then Strauss-Kahn will be discredited, and his chances of making office eliminated (in addition to removing him from the IMF).
Tom Clancy couldn’t have written a better script!
