RPT-Belarus Potash to raise Brazil spot price

MINSK May 23 (Reuters) - Belarussian Potash Company (BPC), a major global fertilizer supplier, said on Monday it would raise the spot price for its fertilizers marketed in Brazil to $550 per tonne in July from the $520 per tonne.

BPC, a joint venture between Belarussian state firm Belaruskali and Russia's Uralkali (URKAq.L), said the move reflected higher global demand for potassium-based fertilizers and limited stocks. (Reporting by Andrei Makhovsky; Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Lidia Kelly)
