June 7 (Reuters) - Modine Manufacturing Co , a maker of heating and cooling systems for vehicles, posted a fourth-quarter profit helped by improved sales to commercial vehicle customers.
Racine, Wisconsin-based Modine also forecast fiscal 2012 sales growth of 12-16 percent. It reported 2011 sales of $1.44 billion.
Fourth-quarter net income rebounded to $12.3 million, or 26 cents a share, from a year-ago loss of $11.2 million, or 24 cents a share. Quarterly sales rose 22 percent to $397 million.
Analysts on average had expected earnings of 16 cents a share, before special items, on revenue of $379.3 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Modine shares were up 7 percent at $15 in pre-market trade on Tuesday. They closed at $14.05 on Monday on the New York Stock Exchange.
