** Reynolds, part of New Zealand billionaire Graeme Hart's Rank Group, won the race to acquire Graham Packaging Co Inc after it raised its offer to $1.68 billion and Silgan Holdings Inc failed to make a counter bid.

** British chipmaker CSR will buy Zoran Corp for a reduced price of $484 million following a deterioration in the U.S. group's trading performance, the two firms said.
** Amdocs' acquisition of Canada's Bridgewater Systems for about $215 million (C$211 million) to beef up its phone-billing software business amid surging mobile data traffic may trigger more such deals in the sector.
** K-V Pharmaceutical Co KVa.N said it agreed to sell its generic business unit to Zydus Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of India-based drugmaker Cadila Healthcare , for $60 million in cash.
