HONG KONG, June 17 (Reuters) - PCA Investments has won an asset management licence from Hong Kong's market regulator, clearing it to launch its planned hedge fund aimed at raising more than $750 million.

PCA, or Principia Capital Advisors, received the licence on Thursday, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) website showed on Friday.

PCA aimed to start with commodities trading advisers or CTA, a hedge fund strategy betting on long-running market trends, credit and equity strategies later this summer, three sources familiar with the matter had told reuters late last month.

The SFC website lists Hang Hu and former Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Ltd executive Wing Lau as responsible officers. (Reporting by Nishant Kumar; Editing by Chris Lewis)
