FIS made bid for UK's Misys -- report

NEW YORK, June 22 (Reuters) - Payment services provider Fidelity National Information Services Inc (FIS.N) put in a preliminary bid for British financial software company Misys Plc MSY.L, the Financial Times reported on its website on Wednesday.

Misys said on Tuesday it received a bid approach, but did not reveal the identity of the company. [ID:nL3E7HL15E]

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Corp (BAC.N) and Deutsche Bank AG (DBKGn.DE) are advising FIS, while Barclays Capital (BARC.L) and JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N) are advising Misys, the paper reported.

JPM, Barclays and Bank of America declined to comment. FIS and Deutsche Bank was not immediately available for comment. (Reporting by Paritosh Bansal; editing by Andre Grenon)
