WASHINGTON (Reuters) - House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner is willing to take up stalled budget talks with President Barack Obama but tax hikes will not be part of the discussion, an aide said on Thursday.

"Boehner is always willing to talk with the President or anyone else about the serious challenges we face -- though obviously tax hikes are still off the table, because tax hikes will destroy jobs," Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said.
