Indonesia targets inflation of 4-5.3 pct in 2012 budget

JAKARTA, June 24 (Reuters) - Indonesia's government is targeting 2012 inflation lower than this year at between 4.0 and 5.3 percent and higher economic growth of between 6.6 and 7.0 percent, according to a transcript of a budget briefing by the finance minister.

Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo, speaking at a parliamentary hearing on the 2012 budget late on Thursday, said the budget targeted the rupiah at between 8,600 and 9,100 per dollar, according to the finance ministry transcript obtained by Reuters on Friday.
