DENVER (Reuters) - A 21-year-old Colorado man died over the weekend after shooting himself in the head playing Russian roulette, police said on Monday.

Anthony Martin of Pueblo, Colorado suffered the fatal gunshot wound early Sunday morning after drinking with some friends, Pueblo Police Sergeant Eric Bravo told Reuters.

Bravo said Martin and three other men were drinking beer and firing off the handgun when Martin said, "let's play Russian roulette," put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger.

A live round was in the chamber, and Martin died at the scene.

Russian roulette is a game played when a single bullet is put in the chamber of a revolver, the chamber is spun and participants blindly pull the trigger.

Investigators don't believe Martin knew the gun was still loaded, and are treating the shooting as an accident, Bravo said.

Bravo said no arrests were made because the gun was legally registered to one of the men at the party, all were over the age of 21 and it appeared Martin acted alone.

"All of the other men gave consistent stories and the physical evidence supports their stories," Bravo said.

No law in Colorado that you cannot be armed or handling guns when intoxicated?
A common sense law, people – come on now.

And yes I own guns but sometimes we have to protect people against stupidity, When drunk you might suddenly think russian roulette is a good idea.
