CHELMSFORD, Mass., July 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brooks Automation, Inc.
(Nasdaq:BRKS) held their Fifth Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner on June 29th to
honor students selected to receive awards as part of the Brooks Automation
Annual Scholarship Program.

The Program is open to children of Brooks Automation's domestic employees
enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
Recipients for 2011 were selected based on their strong academic performance,
community and extracurricular activities and a written essay. International
Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS), a third party administrator,
reviews all applications and selects the recipients of the scholarships.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Michael Harrington, Northeastern University
majoring in Computer Engineering; Charles Alamed, University of Massachusetts
Lowell majoring in Electrical Engineering; Lauren Elliott, Philadelphia
University majoring in Industrial Design; Melissa Ray, University of Miami
majoring in Nursing; Jacob Murphy, Emory University majoring in History;
Jacquelyn Holmes, Bates College majoring in Woman and Gender Studies; Sarah
Barrett, Quinnipiac University majoring in Biology. Recipients Not Present: Kyle
Blodgett, Western Washington University majoring in Linguistics; Paul Buonpane,
Saint Michaels College majoring in Physics; Hillary Keefe, Ithaca College
