Bike bomb hits northern Afghan transition city

MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan, July 20 (Reuters) - A bomb attached to a bicycle exploded in northern Mazar-i-Sharif city on Wednesday, one of seven areas where security control is being handed from foreign to Afghan forces this week, a spokesman for the provincial police chief said.

Sherjan Durani said the bomb had caused some casualties but had no further details.
