HAMILTON, Bermuda, July 20, 2011

HAMILTON, Bermuda, July 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Underwriters Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE: PTP) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.08 per common share.  The dividend is payable on September 30, 2011 to shareholders of record on September 1, 2011.
